LAVENDER DRAKE (AU/DE)
The dark voice of Australian Sarah Asling tells stories which some of us might have already met up with in obscure books, movies and dreams. She has also sung background for many Berlin-based bands, and a few from outside Berlin, like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and the Poems For Laila. She is accompanied in her folk ballads by her musical partner of many years, Peter Hofmann.

Die dunkle stimme der Australianerin Sarah Asling erzählt Geschichten denen einige vielleicht schon einmal in obskuren Bucher, Filmen oder Träumen begegnet sind. Sarah Asling sang auch schon Background für viele berliner Bands, und manche ausserhalb von Berlin wie Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds und die Poems For Laila. Sie ist begleitet im ihr folk Balladen bei ihr musikalischen Partner von vielen Jahren Peter Hofmann.

Berlin based performance artist Miriam Wuttke will show a 20 minute live art piece referring to her working title HOME-LAND-LUXURY which merges parts of her dOCUMENTA(13) performance A SHE S with material and postures she developed for  a new series of forest and landscape gestures after spending 3 weeks in remote areas around her hometown in south Germany.

Die Berliner Performancekünstlerin Miriam Wuttke beteiligt sich mit einem 20minütigen Stück, welches an ihren Arbeitstitel HEIMAT-LAND-LUXUS anknüpft und Teile ihrer dOCUMENTA(13) Performance A SHE S mit Material und Standpunkten einer neuen Serie verbindet. Diese beinhalten Gesten in Bezug zu Wald und Landschaft, welche Miriam Wuttke während eines 3wöchigen Aufenthalts in abgelegenen Gegenden ihrer Heimatstadt in Süddeutschland entwickelte.

SANDRA SARALA (NZ)

Sandra Sarala left New Zealand over 15 years ago for Seoul and, via Moscow, Poland, southern Germany and rural Bohemia, ended up in Berlin in April 2002. A singing performance poet with a sideline in archaic East European folk song, she lives a luxurious yet primeval life on a small mountain in Berlin nurturing food for the soul.

Sandra Sarala verließ Neuseeland vor über 15 Jahren. Ihr Weg führte über Seoul, Moskau, Polen, Süddeutschland und dem ländlichen Böhmen nach Berlin. Hier lebt sie seit April 2002 und tritt als singende Dichterin auf, die sich nebenberuflich altertümlichen Volksliedern aus Osteuropa widmet. Auf einem kleinen Berg inmitten von Berlin lebt sie ein genießeriches und uriges Leben, und nährt Kost fur die Seele.

Anja Zeilinger kommt aus Berlin und lebt im bayerischen Exil. Sie beschäftigt sich mit Philosophie, Wissenschaft und Kunst - und verschiedenen Kombinationen derselben.

Anja Zeilinger is from Berlin but chose exile in Bavaria to have joyful returns. Her occupations are science, philosophy, art and various combinations of these.

Antje Lossin ist eine klassisch-orientalische tänzerin aus Berlin. Mit Hilfe von BlumenAirline wird sie euch mit nach Kairo nehmen!
Antje wurde in das zweigeteilte Deutschland, in Berlin geboren. Ihre Vorfahren jedoch stammen aus einem westlicher gelegenem Land, in dem die Leute gerne Froschschenkel aßen. Nachdem die Berliner Mauer endlich gefallen war, lebte Antje in einem noch anderen westlichen Land, um dort die wunderschönen Klänge der orientalischen Musikkunst zu endecken. Als sie schließlich wieder nach Berlin zurück kam, brachte sie ihre beiden Tanz-Gärten zusammen: Ballett aus dem Froschschenkelland und orientalischen Tanz aus dem Land der Pharaonen. Diese beiden Gärten vereinen die Liebe und Kreativität, welche Antje benötigt, um ihre Blumen blühen zu lassen.

Antje Lossin is a classical oriental dancer/bellydancer from Berlin and will take you to Egypt with FlowerAirline! Antje was born into a separated Berlin city, in a separated Germany.  Her forefathers came from a land in the west and used to eat frogs legs. After the wall fell she went to another country in the west and was introduced to the fine art of middle-eastern music. Back in Berlin she brought these two gardens together, meaningly two dance  forms. One, ballet, from the frog-fond land, the second, an ancient dance art from the land of the grand Pharaohs. These two gardens combine the love and creative energy which Antje draws on to make her flowers bloom.

Winner of the raqs sharki (classical oriental dance, bellydance) contests at the Fantasia Festival in London, December 2011, and the Oriental Summer Festival in Berlin in 2007; member of Catt Company, run by Horacio and Beata Cifuentes, who she has been touring with since 2007, and an oriental dance teacher at Akademie Cifuentes in Berlin since 2008.

Dina Labinska und Veronika Massold stammen aus der Ukraine. Sie sind seit vielen Jahren Mitglieder des berlinischen Ensemble Polynushka, eine internationale Musikformation von acht Sängern, die sich der Musiktradition verschiedener Regionen des ländlichen Russlands, Ukraine und Weißrussland widmen. 

Dina Labinska and Veronika Massold come originally from Ukraine and have been members of the Berlin ensemble Polynushka for many years. The international ensemble comprises eight singers, and is dedicated to the musical traditions of various regions of rural Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

2003 verliess Joe Czarnecki die Pferdefarm auf der er aufgewachsen war, um nach Berlin zu ziehen. Um das hinzukriegen, fuhr er nach Alaska und arbeitete in einer Fischerfabrik um das Geld zu verdienen um in Europe zu leben. Ende 2009 hat er seine debut Platte, Watch Now auf Goldrausch records rausgebracht. Die Songs des gebürtigen US-Amerikaners und derzeitigen Wahlberliners Joe Czarnecki sind mit akustischer Gitarre vorgetragene kraftvolle, mit vielen Wendungen versehene Stücke, die den Hörer stets schnell in den Bann ziehen, ihn überraschen und auf eine Reise mitnehmen - er macht Musik jenseits von Worten, er erschafft eine intime Landschaft voller Bilder, die zum Zuhören mehr als einladen. 

In 2003 Joe Czarnecki left the Colorado horse farm where he grew up to move to Berlin by way of a detour to Alaska where he worked in a fish factory to earn the money to live in Europe for a few months. His songs are as dynamic as the landscape where he grew up, powerful, full of twists and turns, played with clarity, emotions as big as Colorado stormclouds and a virtuosity that invites the listener to travel with him, fascinating stories told with jaw-dropping technique and an acoustic guitar.
